An Open Letter To Mitch McConnell

Dear Mitch McConnell:

Last night, you publicly admitted that you are a descendant of slaveholders. Seeing that you are a white man from Kentucky, a former slave state, this wasn’t at all surprising. What did have me scratching my head, though, was your decision to remind everyone that Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president, was also a descendant of slave-holders.
