Hi, Daniel!

As one of the many people who signed your petition, I have to say that I’m impressed by its smashing success. You authored the most successful petition in Change.org. My hat goes off to you.

Because the electors failed at their Constitutionally mandated duty — preventing an underqualified tyrant from ascending to the Oval Office — it is imperative that the Electoral College be reformed, if not dispensed with altogether.

Under the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, states wouldn’t award their Electoral College votes to the winner of the state. Instead, a state would award its Electoral College votes to the winner of the entire nation’s popular vote. Ten states and DC have already signed on but more states must do so before the Compact would take effect.

I started a petition on Change.org on December 18th. Unfortunately, only a few people have signed so far. Do you have any advice on how to attract more signatures?

I know that you are very busy but I’d really appreciate any assistance you could provide.

Thanks. And great work on your petition.

Sincerely,

Ebony Edwards-Ellis
