That really sucks but ultimately your responsibility to keep your children safe outweighs your desire to avoid contact with your kids.

Stick to your guns. If your parents press just tell them, “I really appreciate your desire to spend time with the kids but it’s not in the kids' best interests to have unsupervised visits with you right now.” Never explain, never complain.

I’m not a parent but I know what it’s like to try to establish reasonable limits with pushy, entitled parents.
